Amanda Celli Cascaes is a partner in the Civil Litigation practice at FAS Advogados.

With more than 12 years of experience in strategic litigation, built at leading Brazilian firms.

She works at the forefront of technology disputes — digital platforms, social media, e-commerce, fintechs and gaming — combining complex litigation with privacy and data protection. She is particularly active in intermediary liability matters under the Brazilian Internet Civil Rights Framework (Marco Civil da Internet) and Brazil’s new framework for the protection of children and adolescents online (ECA Digital).

Her PhD in Civil Law from the University of São Paulo (USP), with research on healthcare and data protection, underpins a second practice focus on healthcare litigation, healthtechs and patient data protection.

She was nominated Rising Star of the Year by The Legal 500 in 2023 and serves as Publications Coordinator of the Consumer Relations Committee of IBRAC.

She is the author of the book Análise Econômica da Responsabilidade Civil: a redução equitativa da indenização e as atividades de risco (Editora Singular, 2019) and the editor of the collective works Regulação: Evolução e Perspectivas nas Relações de Consumo (2024), Inteligência Artificial nas Relações de Consumo (2023) and ESG nas Relações de Consumo (2022), all published by Editora Singular. She has more than 20 publications, including national and international book chapters and articles.
