From Felipe Neto to Gusttavo Lima: Celebrities Receive Million-Dollar Exemptions under Perse

Felipe Neto, Gusttavo Lima, and Virginia Fonseca are among the celebrities listed as beneficiaries of Perse. André Azeredo, a specialist in the Tax Litigation area, spoke to UOL about the exemption granted by the program, which can reach up to 34% of the profit (IRPJ/CSLL) and up to 9.25% of the gross revenue (PIS and COFINS) of the companies benefiting from it. The specialist also emphasized that the socio-legal logic behind Perse was to relieve the taxation on companies in the events sector, aiming to maintain the jobs and income these companies generate for the population, considering that if the company is unable to operate, it doesn't have the economic capacity to pay taxes to the government.
